How to Set Up a Better Ball Event With Flexible Groupings

Overview

The Group Team Better Ball format allows players to compete individually while simultaneously contributing scores to their team. This format is particularly flexible because players from the same team can be assigned to different tee times.

Setting Up the Event

1. Create the Event
   • Tap the + button.
   • Choose Single Round Event (also applicable to rounds in Multi Round Events).
   • Scroll down to the game options and select Group Team Better Ball.
2. Configure Game Modes & Scoring
   • Set your scoring method to Stableford or Stroke Play depending on preference.
   • Set playing mode as Individuals (individual scores will combine to create the team score).
   • Enable Flexible Group Team.
3. Define Team Structure
   • Enter the number of teams participating.
   • Select the number of players per team.
4. Scoring Method
   • Set Group Team Scoring Method to Sum per Hole. This ensures that only the best scores per hole are counted.
   • Choose how many group team scores to count per hole (e.g., the two best scores from four players).

Adding Teams & Players

1. Create or Add Existing Teams
   • Navigate to Player Manager.
   • Tap Add Team and select existing groups or create new groups as needed.
   • Teams can include customized names, logos, and colors, enhancing leaderboard visibility.
2. Assign Players to Teams
   • Tap Add Players under each team.
   • Select players from your player database.

Setting Tee Times

• Go to the Tee Sheet.
• Players from the same team do not need to be grouped in the same tee time. Assign tee times randomly or as preferred to create varied groupings.

Activating the Event & Scoring

1. Activate Event
   • Activate the event from the event home screen.
