How to Set Up a Four-Person Team Event in Golfify Using Stableford
This guide walks you through the process of setting up a four-person team event in Golfify using the Stableford scoring format, where only two of the scores will count toward the team total.
Step 1: Create the Event
- From the Home Screen, tap the plus button to create a new event.
- Select Single Round Event.
- Choose the Four-Person Betterball option to set up a team event with four players per team.
- Complete the Round Information by entering the name of the event, dates, and other details.
Step 2: Configure Game Modes and Scoring
- Go to Game Modes and Scoring:
- Set the Scoring Format to Stableford (recommended for betterball events as it's more forgiving if players pick up their ball mid-hole).
- If preferred, you can use Stroke Play, but Stableford is typically better for team-based events.
Betterball Settings
- The default aggregation method is Addition. This adds the scores of the team members.
- Alternatively, you can use Multiply (e.g., if one player gets zero points, multiplying results in a zero score for the team).
- Set the Scores to Count to 2 out of 4, meaning only two players' scores will count toward the team total.
Additional Options
- Flexible Group Teams: Enable if you want players to play with anyone in the event. This is a different event set up, see the Flexible Better Ball Guide.
