Setting Up a LIV Golf-Style Event on Golfify
Golfify makes it easy to set up a LIV-style golf event with customizable options to match this unique format. Here's a step-by-step guide to help you create your event:
Step 1: Create a Multi-Round Event
- From your Golfify dashboard, create a Multi-Round Event.
- At the bottom of the event creation screen, select the LIV Style option (or start from scratch if you prefer).
- Fill out your event details, including:
- Event name, Description, etc
- Any other relevant details
- Customize the Leaderboard settings (individual and group team scoring is generally the best option).
Step 2: Choose Event Format
- Group Team: This option allows players to be grouped into teams. Group teams represent a set of four players, it allows flexibility with tee slot allocation.
- Individual & Group Team: This combination is the most common format for LIV-style events, allowing both individual and group team scores to count.
- Individual & Fixed Team & Group Team: Less common, with this option players may remain in fixed teams across all rounds while also having individual scores and group team scores. This is not common but works for some events.
Step 3: Set Scoring Method
- Choose Stroke Play as the scoring method. It also works with Stableford.
- Set the number of Group Teams (e.g., two teams for this example).
- Decide on the number of players per team (e.g., 4 players per team).
