Golfify Groups: A Step-by-Step Guide
In this guide, we're going to explore the Groups feature in Golfify, which allows you to organize your players and streamline event management. Whether you're planning a regular competition or a Ryder Cup-style event, Groups can help you manage everything with ease. Let's dive in!
What Are Groups in Golfify?
Groups allow you to gather all your players in one place, making it easier to invite them to future events, manage large competitions, and even create team-based competitions. You can add players directly, invite them via email, and organize your group by subgroups for events like Ryder Cup or LIV Golf.
Creating a Group
Here's how to create a Group in Golfify:
- 1. Tap the + Button
- On the home screen, tap the + button and select Group.
- 2. Customize Your Group
- You'll be taken to a new layout where you can:
- Add a Logo for your group.
- Set the Group Name.
- Write a Description (optional).
- Choose between Public or Private access.
- Select a Group Color, which will be used on leaderboards when your group plays in competitions.
- Once you've set everything up, save your group.
Managing Group Members
Now that your group is created, let's add some members!
- 1. Access Group Members
- Open the group and go to the Members tab.
- Alternatively, tap Settings and select Group Members.
- 2. Add or Invite Players
- Add Player: This allows you to directly add new players to your group. You can add players manually or via a spreadsheet upload, which is helpful for adding multiple players at once. You can request the spreadsheet via email, fill it out, and upload it back into the app.
- Invite Player: This sends an email invitation to the player, allowing them to choose whether to join the group.
- 3. Recent Players & Buddies
- If you've interacted with players on Golfify before, you can quickly add them to your group via Recent Players or Buddies.
Sharing Your Group
You can share your group with others by copying the group link and sending it via platforms like WhatsApp. Players can use the link to join your group directly.
