What are Divisions?
The Divisions feature in Golfify helps you separate players in your leaderboard based on various criteria like handicap, the tees they use, or custom groups you can create. This means you no longer have to create separate events. This feature currently works for individual rounds within competitions, including both single and multi-round events. We will be adding divisions to Multi Round Overall Leaderboards soon.
How to Use the Divisions Feature On Golfify
Divisions can be added after you create your event via the game settings if you are in a single round event, or rounds → Round Settings if you are using a multi round event.
Setting Up Divisions
- Adding a New Division: After your event is created, navigate to game settings and find the 'Flights/Divisions' section.
- Create a Division: Click 'Add Flight' and name your division. There are three main types of divisions:
- Handicap Range: Set a maximum or minimum handicap, or both together.
- Tee: Select players based on their tee.
- Custom Division: Manually assign players in the tee sheet area.
- Save Settings: Ensure all changes are saved for the system to update accordingly.
Managing Divisions During the Event
- Each division will show on the leaderboard.
- Divisions using handicap or tees will generate automatically. For custom divisions you will need to assign players to that division, in order for them to show up.
- Skins and other data generated which is relative to other golfers will still be calculated against all the players in the tournament.
- Divisions can be edited when the event / round is inactive and active.
