With this, you can personalize the points based on players' scores, tailoring it even for specific achievements like bagging a two on a par three. What Are Custom Stableford Points?
Simply put, it's a tool allowing you to set specific point values for various golfing achievements, thereby customizing the game scoring. Whether you want to reward a particular score or achievement, like a hole-in-one, this feature has got you covered.
Setting Up the Custom Stableford Points:
- Starting Off: Press the ‘+’ button and select 'Competition'. I'm naming ours ‘Custom Stableford Points’ for this guide.
- Basic Settings: Move past the preliminary options and choose your golf course.
- Choosing The Format: Navigate to the screen for format selection and opt for 'Stableford'. This unveils the 'Stableford Points' option.
- Tweaking Points: On tapping this, you'll witness the default Stableford point settings. But here's where the magic happens – you can modify these! As an example, I set the hole-in-one to grant five points. On saving, the system now recognizes your Stableford Points as custom. And don't fret; you can always change these settings later in the game settings.
- Setting Up The Competition: After configuring your points, create the game. Hop into the player manager, swiftly add players, and then await their entry. Using the 'Auto Assign' can streamline assigning tee slots, but manual assignments are an option too.
- Activating and Scoring: Access the scorecard on the home screen and activate your competition and round. For demonstration:
- I marked Tiger Woods with a score of four and awarded Justin Rose with a hole-in-one. Given our custom settings, this should credit Justin Rose with the five extra points we allotted. And voila! You'll notice Justin Rose leading with the customized points on both net points and gross points to par.
